Army ups special pay for recruiters, drill sergeants and Old Guard soldiers

It's just a shell game... 3 years ago it was $450... then $300... then back up a little...

While I was a Recruiter I got $150 a month for Proficiency Pay and thought it was a little low, we also got to an allowance of either $25-50 a moth for official expenses, but we had to fill out a form and attach receipts. This was from 1971-1980. While this helped in some cases it wasn't enough to counter living in an area without a military base. I have a hard time believing that this all went away. I hope that is reinstated.

Ohhh buddy I can get $75.00 SDAP sitting in a staff posistion in recruiting compared to the $0.00 I get now. How will I spend that....2 tanks of gas I think
