Good morning RP. Today's image is titled "The Cat's Eye Nebula in Optical and X-ray." Both the Hubble and Chandra Observatories contributed to the data set that allowed this picture to emerge. I see more of a conch shell than a Cat's Eye, but that's just me.
I agree the overall shape is definitely that of a conch shell. And while the center may be an eye, only someone who doesn't have a cat would think it was a cat's eye...
