Breaking G-d's laws require payment. Once sin entered into human existence, a perfect sacrifice was required. But, what human could do so? Only G-d placing himself into a human body could live a perfect life and teach those who would listen by his Auctoras.
To willingly die for it's creation that repented proved G-d's love and proved Lucifer's argument wrong. G-d could have corrected everything and made all creation worship him. But, then Lucifer's argument would have been correct.
