How many times are we gonna go through this? There have been multiple commissions and work forces and surveys. It doesn't stop it. Maybe if the data is actually taken seriously it's a start. But I'm not too hopeful after the last 16 years.

I agree. Changing the name, but using the same methodology will only produce the same poor results

SFC Kelly Fuerhoff 100% agree. Enough commissions, enough studies. DO SOMETHING! Look at the data, and when a report is made, investigate quickly and thoroughly. Then follow the UCMJ.

SFC Stephen Hurst - They used to in Army Times. You could see court martial results. If someone was guilty they were named, punishment, etc. If acquitted, no name. That was 2015, 2016. I used that to try to compile some stats on sex crimes (it listed all crimes). Mostly it was junior enlisted up to SGT/SSG. A few senior NCOs and officers sprinkled in. Most of the sex crimes were actually child porn or against kids. Some indecent exposure. A few sexual assaults. But every month they used to publish the results. I don't know why they stopped.

Here is my perspective. We probably have control over reducing sexual assaults, but we have no control over eliminating all of them. We do have control on how we deal with the victims and the assailants. Unfortunately the military is remiss for not practicing that control well in many cases.
