If F-35 Joint Strike Fighter have the danger of exploding from lightning strikes why won't civilian jet liners have that same Danger?

does not make since when ten of thousands Of Aircraft are flying and Hundreds are struck by Lightning ... is there a problem in the structure of electronics or even the design that Needs to be re-looked...
