Just to avoid any confusion, Rodeo Road (pronounced road-ee-oh, like the equestrian sport) is an entirely different street that Rodeo drive (pronounced Road-ay-oh).

Oh, Rodeo Drive remains the luxury shopping destination it always was. Some brands come and go, mostly due to changing fashion trends, and the demographics of its foreign tourist base evolves (Japanese in the 80s and 90s, Chinese, Russians and Arabs today), due to changing international economic trends.

It remains a fun and safe place to enjoy shopping and casual upscale dining and is VERY close to the Los Angeles Museum of Art. My wife and I have spent many days in the area over the 23 years we've been married.

Rodeo Road is a very ordinary urban street in Los Angeles. I like that it runs parallel and close to MLK Blvd, and am very happy that the City Council voted for the name change. I'm very proud of my liberal SANCTUARY city and its resistance to the disgusting Alt-Right rhetoric and policies of this train wreck of an administration.

Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills, adjacent to Westerly Los Angeles is a famed shopping experience. I would presume it also goes into Los Angeles. Lady friend Mary Ann shopped on Rodeo Drive many years ago. The customer base has changed immensely in the last 15? years. Amazingly, most of the shop keepers continue to speak English. So it is, and in a totally different part of the metropolitan area than Beverly Hills.

As many times as he came to LA (fund raisers, tying up already bad traffic), he should get a street named after him. I didn't keep count, but it seemed like he was coming 3-4 times a year.
