A serious blast from the past! My first duty station Diego Garcia, all paper tape and Mod-28 teletype. I caught on to paper tape pretty well. Typing though, i did my fair share of remedial...lol. I was the last one in my class to type out 25 wpm on the Mod 28.

My instructor CTO1 Schubert said at graduation, "I hope to hell i'm never stationed with you, Austin." LOL!

PO1 William "Chip" Nagel - hahaha.. I managed (barely) to get the 40 wps in typing, so I didn't have to suffer that at least.

Yep sure is a serious blast from the past. I'm sure I'm not the only one who remembers how to butterfly paper tape!
