I am convinced that America has succeeded far beyond other nations due, in large measure, to the fact that we have allowed women to pursue their dreams and aspirations to a greater degree than other nations. Look at the performance of American women Olympians compared to other nations, compared to American men vs other nations. Look at America's wartime productivity when men were fighting. Look at the contributions of American women in science, technology, and the arts. Interestingly, I once read that Wyoming was the first state to allow women the right to vote. It seems that pioneer men were more aware of the abilities of their spouses and sisters than their counterparts in more civilized places. Maybe that explains what I am seeing. That America's pioneer spirit led the way for women's suffrage.
