It seems that Senegal is facing a huge problem. The fishing industry is the primary cash crop for these folks but it seems that they don't have a coast guard protecting the waters from outsiders who are depleting the once abundant supply. This is the same thing that happened in Somalia which led to the piracy problem that is plaguing the east coast of Africa.

Industraliazed nations flat out don't appreciate the significance of small time village fishermen. When the villages go hungry they become prime targets for those selling the beliefs of ISIS like organizations. The leaders of the country also don't care about their people if there is no money in it for them in this part of the world, so end result is another country on the path to some sort of international crisis.
