Beer fan Carson King's children's charity fundraiser hits $2 million

Don't know if anyone outside of Iowa has even heard about this, but this guy held a gag sign on College Game Day two weeks ago in Ames, Iowa. It went viral and he announced the proceeds (minus the cost of one case of beer) would go to the University of Iowa children's hospital. It snowballed, and to date he has raised over $2 million. Anheuser-Busch jumped on board. Then the Des Moines Register, and proud member of the modern media, found out that 25 year old King had, when he was a high school sophomore, tweeted a couple of objectionable Tosh.0 quotes. They smeared him on the front page, Anheuser-Busch dropped him like a hot potato. So now, Iowa's governor has declared a "Carson King Day," and all Iowa is not reading the Register and boycotting Anheuser-Busch. It's a feel good story.
