You have to be very careful when programming AIs. It is very easy for them to develop bias based on tainted data sets.

It's not just the datasets, it the act of feature extraction and how the classification process works. Deep learning is less prone to human biases in those areas than traditional machine learning, but deep learning models tend to be a black box that may have done feature extraction and classification in unusual and incomplete ways based on "tainted", or just incomplete, data.
