Lady Thatcher said something along the lines of "Socialism only works until you run out of other peoples' money." De Blasio makes no apologies for being a committed Socialist. He was before being elected Mayor of NYC and hasn't changed one iota since that election. If the people of NYC can't look south to Venezuela and see what Socialism does, then the people of NYC must pay that price. However, when it comes time to pay that price, you and I know who will be asked to pick up the cost!! It wouldn't be the first time NYC has spent it all and then come to the federal government looking for a handout.

AAAAHHHH!!!
Socialism rears its ugly head again, eh? The "government" knows what's best, the "government" dictates what the citizens may or may not have?
And, lest we forget, "government" is not a living, breathing entity. People are. And the people in charge of the government will be exerting their power and authority over the people to enforce these dictates.
"Dictates"...as in "dictatorship". Lest anybody forget what this really means, it means a select few run the government in such a fashion as to subjugate the citizens IN SPITE of what the people may want or need.
It invariably ends up with the common citizen having equal amounts of "nothing" while the ruling elite have everything else.
de Blasio is a powerful, dangerous man to be pushing such ideologies. Really, just another in a long line of NYC mayors much like him.

Thanks [~1006222-Po3 James Dietz]. To me the loss of private property whether real estate or tangible goods is a travesty especially when local and/or state or Federal government is taking it.
