Great share, I love all his works and his home is a must stop anytime we are in Key West.

I devoured his books when in high school. For Whom the Bell Tolls was my fav, and it was made into a movie starring Gary Cooper and Ingred Bergman. The lady had an affair with the film’s director, Roberto Rossellini, and issue of that liaison was a baby girl whomthey named Isabelle Rossellini, who became a celebrated fashion model. Hemingway committed suicide with a shotgun at his home in Key West

I liked the old man and the sea. When I was in high school I read a book “ Bull Fighter From Brooklyn” about a guy named Sydney Franklin. Franklin went to Spain, fell in love with bull fighting and became good at it. Hemingway connected with Franklin to get back ground for “Death in the Afternoon “. Franklin had no idea who Hemingway was and was a little shocked when reporters asked him what it was like being with Hemingway.
