Seems expensive. Wouldn't a 12 gauge do the job a lot cheaper?

Depends on the job. I don't thing a 12 gauge is the right choice for use against a suspected explosive delivery drone or for defense of civilian airfields from kamikazi drones, really any application with significant civilian populations nearby.

I'd love to see it in action for real. They showed it with drones hovering. I wonder how well it would work with drones flying fast?
