My wife and I just saw “Midway”. One of the best military movies I have seen in years. Accurate and sobering. Being a veteran it’s hard to see US soldiers dying even in movies though incredible when we prevail. Who’s the greatest country in the world?? We are. We are.

So you were saying that the critique in the military times is an unfair one. I'm looking forward to seeing the movie tomorrow. I would have seen it today but we got hit with about 8 inches of snow here in Edmonton Alberta Canada

Tora! Tora! Tora! is the best WWII movie about pearl harbor..... change my mind.
The movies art style looks terrible and none of the trailers looked good, if this is a shock to anyone that the movie sucked, you might want to get your eyes calibrated. The acting looked stiff (if not painful to watch) and it all looked so terribly cheesy.
On another note, the best movie this weekend was Dr Sleep.

SSG (Join to see) they always seem to add the gratuitous love story. I read that in the movie Kelly's Heroes, they were supposed to have a female involved as well. I'm not a misogynist but actually it was great where there wasn't some stupid eye candy in the plot. I believe one of the females was in the same movie with Clint Eastwood called Where Eagles Dare. Those females were attractive but they were used as spies and not as part of a chick flick love plot.

I’m Tora! Tora! Tora!, I remember as a youngster. Great acting and great actors. But I stand by Midway. Historical and an homage to all those who served. Just sayin’. Have a great day either way!
