It such a shame and the lack of forest management and as the article pointed out not clearing brush, fallen trees etc for decades This lack of proper forest management from the State government of California made the situation much worse and harder to control let alone stop ! This is exactly why that should NOT have be ignored, well they are paying the price for it now. Many people have lost property, animals have died, first responders have been put a bigger risk while the state wasted money instead of spening it where it needed this being a good example. There was already and always will be a risk of fire but forest management was at least a way of controlling the scope of the fire and preventing it from getting to this extreme point.

The fire is still burning on large amount of fuels and has burned from the south side all the way up and over and down of the north side. Our famed Mount Wilson, where we have most of our radio and TV transmitters, has already suffered losses and is being protected to the best of their ability by hand crews and especially aircraft.
