a. the boy stood up when directed. b. he was not in a threatening position or posture c. he didn't give the boy a chance to do anything more than stand up. d. how about even a little deescalation? d. 35 seconds???? that is far too long. that deputy needs to be fired.

My guess is the deputy has already been fired and assault charges are pending.
Just checked local news broadcasts and nothing mentioned about this yet. Will check later

And you wonder why we want reform!!!! What party is against this again??? Sorry to keep harping on this, but the police in my state sold out to the GOP to keep their union bennies. I can't ever forget or forgive this, AND NEITHER SHOULD YOU!

disregard the fact that the BOY was fleeing violence in his home country. imagine if it had been your 16-year old son or daughter. how angry would you be then? Me? I'd be gunning for the officer. i'd have his badge, his job, his pension, and his house
