I thought I would share this with my Rally Point friends. I am in charge of the Basic Law Enforcement Academy in Gainesville Florida. I supervise and train police recruits in many topics (my favorite is firearms of course). My current class of Law Enforcement recruits will be graduating on Weds of next week, and they are spending the weekend answering calls and putting all of their training to use.
Yesterday began the final three days of the law enforcement academy training for Basic Law Enforcement Class 135! They started Scenario Weekend where for three straight days they are dispatched to calls around our campus and have to put into play all of those things they learned over the last 6 months.
The first call was to conduct a traffic stop. With Cadre playing the part of the driver, the students were to conduct a stop. Safety officers for each position were present and evaluated the students on their performance during the stop, looking for things like citizen contact, officer and citizen safety, and how the recruits interact with the public.
I took a few photos of them and have posted them here. :)
