I'd read about him after watching the orig Walking Tall movies, I've seen the remake, however, it makes no mention whatever of the true story, which is both little known, as well as quite fascinating, though tragic, certainly, of course, just figured might be of genl historical interest....

I love the stories of Buford Pusser. The original movies were great, sad but great. The newer one was entertaining but outside of the Rock carrying the stick it wasn't anything about Sheriff Pusser.
If any of y'all are ever in the Adamsville, TN area his house is a museum. There's a small fee but it's well worth the time to visit it. I think his daughter is the one who owns and runs it though she wasn't there when I stopped by.

I know I'd seem the Hermitage in TN though not the museum you'd mentioned , I've seen the website for the museum, many thanks...I'd heard his daughter is still there as well, most interesting, definitely, much appreciated....

I follow, however, predictably, as I'd mentioned, no virtually not one single solitary word of the true history was ever mentioned, or that the story was in fact true, that's mynone especial pet peeve with such remakes. I'm not disputing he can be an as you say entertaining even on occasion talented actor oncemin awhile, however, a true story like that ought not in my view to be lost to such hollywoodization, true history, to my mind, should never, ever be paraphrased, or, if it is, never without at least some slight acknowledgment of the reality involved, that's all I'm trying to suggest. In any event, I appreciate your answering, certainly, many thanks for your interest, of course, regardless, by all means, and I hadn't known there was a 2nd part to the remake, that I hadn't heard, once again, many thanks.

Yeah, most generally, as I'd said, had never heard the true story, which really got pretty crazily over the top, from all I'd read about it, I gather it got pretty nearly totally out of hand for awhile, or so it seemed, as I'd read about it, many thanks....
