I own a 1944 carbine built by Underwood. They were built by numerous manufacturers in WWII. I shoot it all the time, very accurate and a great little shooter.

I have an Inland my father picked up in the early 60s. Think he paid $65 for it.

CW5 Jack Cardwell, my father was in the Navy during WWII and found an M1 carbine while walking on a beach on Okinawa. He brought it home with him, and when I was old enough, he gave it to me. I have it to this day.

What are your thoughts on this comment, SGT Gregory Lawritson? I'm not a deer hunter, but I would think that due to cartridge size, barrel length, and a high capacity magazine, an M1 carbine would not be a deer hunter's choice. I just don't really know.
