We had one back home at Stark New Hampshire. The German Soldiers worked in the woods cutting pulp logs for the paper mills. In the late 1980's several of the former POWs returned as part of the promotion for the release of the book "Stark Decency" that told the history of the camp and the interaction of the POWs with the local folks. The last time I was there only the fence line, roads and foundations were left. It's a little known part of our history.
