I expect that most of the military service members have a great deal of respect for this nation and that they have pride in the fact that they service this nation in military uniform SSgt (Join to see).
Many of the older generations of citizens have pride in this nation and a great deal of respect for our service men and women. The people who don't have respect for this nation and our service men and women are epitomized by those who participated in the Occupy Movement in 2011 which fizzled out by the time President Obama was reelected as well as many in the left-wing media.
There are many grass-roots efforts in this nation which are probably the best hope we have for a resurgence of pride in this nation and the military services.
Prayers for this nation and for wisdom for those in authority that we may live peaceful and quiet lives by the members of the body of Christ are the best hope for this nation overall.

It really depends on who is elected and whether or not the supporters of the current administration in the leadership are purged.

SSgt (Join to see) - I don't think there is any question that the morale of the military has declined over the past several years as a result of multiple deployments and an apparent lack of respect and support from the incumbent Administration. Having said that, our military have been through things like this before and have proven to be resilient. With the right leadership at all levels, the military will bounce back. If, however, we continue to see more of the same from a new Administration that mimics the current one, I fear the military will go further into a decline and, possibly, a death spiral.
