Canada has decided it's too expensive and too long to wait for the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter. They are joining Australia and buying the F-18 Super Hornet instead. They are planning to get another fighter in the future but there will be a competition. The prior government had a sole-source goal of getting the F-35 JSF.

Going with the proven aircraft for the time being; I can't blame them on that though LTC (Join to see)

There's going to be a competition later on so it's going to be a few planes from Western Europe the Griffin and I forget which ones.
