Canadian Forces Trail: 97 Street renamed to honour Edmonton's military

Here is some good news from Edmonton! Today I went to a mission planning conference at the Edmonton Garrison. I took 3 days off of work and it was well worth it. My Brigade commander and our S3 came to Edmonton for this conference. I live 15 minutes away from the Canadian Army base. November 11th, 1918 is a big deal for the Canadians as well. It is called Remembrance Day. Most of the soldiers at the mission planning conference, including the Americans, were wearing the red poppy. We are just a few days from the hundredth anniversary of the end of World War 1. That is why the street was named to honor Edmonton's military.
