Ever see the movie, "Minority Report"? Well, in my estimation, "hate crime" is a term that's being bandied about to get society "used" to the idea that one can (and should) be prosecuted for what they think and feel... because it "may" result in criminal actions. Granted, that's not what it means today-but why make a distinction between making threats, physical assault, murder, arson, vandalism, etc. unless the goal is to program us to think that these acts are somehow "worse" if motivated by "hate"? Are we supposed to view a crime differently if the motivation was "mere" revenge, greed, lust, etc.?
