I bet the DNC is working on a plan to register all Canadians and have them vote in American elections

Where have I heard that before? When you have an effective plan, keep on using it. Like immigrants being able to vote here and Mexico.

I see a whole lot about other countries portraying Trump as the great evil for raising tariffs on goods coming into the US, but look for yourself. The only WTU member countries with lower tariffs than us are Australia and Peru. We've been getting screwed on them, and now they want to retaliate?? BS.

PO3 Donald Murphy - They buy the F35 because it is the right piece of equipment for the job. They are not doing us favors. We don't buy British aircraft because ours are superior in almost every way. Those are defense department transactions usually done as parts of larger treaties or agreements etc.

Cpl Jeff N. So why don’t they use any other planes? You’re clutching at straws but part of your statement answers your own question- transactions done as part of other etc. And what would you think that “other” entails? Remember also that Britain is not the worlds policeman; her military is geared to her national goals. Just because we “need” stealth fighters doesn’t mean everyone else does. The UK invented the Harrier which we use/used. So it’s going to take some convincing that the UK couldn’t build its replacement.

PO3 Donald Murphy - I think a part of his point regarding the F35 is that it's unlikely that a DOD transaction is subject to commercial trade tariff restrictions.

SGT Richard H. My point was that the backscratcher can be anything. In an ideal world, you buy my airliners and I’ll buy your fighters. But it doesn’t always work out that way. So to make it work, I might do something like over pay you for your lumber.
