Carbon Price Con Game makes sense. In California, a pack of Marlboro is about $6 a pack and there appears to me, a UPS delivery driver, as many older homeless or less well to do smoking cigs at $12 a pack in Canada as in California except they are going through dumpsters to get bottles and cans to afford the expensive cigs. Its demand is inelastic just like in the USA. The carbon tax is a con game in Canada and if HRC wins, you bet Bernie and his cohort will push it to be like Canada's. The large Tobacco settlement did not go to stop smoking but it did help the states pay for other stuff!

Thanks for sharing LTC (Join to see). I was expecting a carbon credits con scheme and was mildly amused that this is a cigarette tax scheme $6 US dollars for a pack of cigarettes [cancer sticks as we used say decades ago] compared to 12 Canadian dollars for a similar pack.
My wife and I and her mother already voted absentee and it wasn't for Hillary :-)

I agree and they don't really call it a tax. Its Orwellian. Canadians drive V10 diesel one tons, they drive snow mobiles in the winter, they have fishing boats in the short summer and I see so many V8 Mercedes and high end sports cars. I see old cougars driving gas-guzzling Bentleys even thought they look like overpriced Fat Ford Mustangs. The rich and most of us there don't drive smart cars (that use premium gas, how dumb) or Pruises. We drive the same types of cars that they do in the USA. Canadians are sucker for liberals that want to impose this and its going to cost the average person like me $1400 a year in more expensive fuel. I am not sure how much my electricity will go up!
