Being part of a Command Cadre is a vey challenging job with an extremely narrow margin for error. It’s all eyes on you at all times. Your career won’t survive having a “Bad Day” at work. And nobody knows the CO’s orders for his/her CMC. It’s a very tricky balance when you’re trying to serve the enlisted workforce. Getting on the same page with a new CO immediately is crucial and may take speed-reading his/her personality and leadership style in a matter of minutes to achieve it.

Wonder how many others have had this same treatment? No one knows.
