I say again. Chine is not our friend. Their leaders are bad actors, in a corrupt government interested only in gaining more power by whatever means necessary. They have proven they are not to be trusted time and again.

China is not our friend, at least not since Oct.1, 1949. They've been an antagonist in the Cold War along with the USSR/Russia ever since and the Cold War actually never ended, we're just fighting it on different battlegrounds these days.
