Wonder how long that pledge will last, especially if we end up close to the Yalu river.
In 1950 they entered the war about that time, Remember the Chosin?

SFC Pete Kain I think the majority of America has no idea what occurred during the Korean War. China's remarks are not surprising at all considering history.

I remember, and know about it because my dad was is in the 1st Marine Division and was there. He had some terrible memories of the attack in a different direction and frostbite on his foot. He was one of 12 in his company of 220 to not get shot or wounded by enemy fire. He rarely spoke of it.

I think a lot of people are missing a very important point with respect to international diplomacy and what's actually being said.
Yeah, they told us not to strike first. But that's a kind of underhanded way of telling Kim Jung Un he's likely to get his keister handed to him if he strikes first.

LCDR (Join to see) - Oh, I'm sure he got the message. For all that we make fun of him, he isn't stupid. He knows very well how the system works, especially in his own country.
Keep an aye on the North Korean holidays...the Kims have a habit of increasing their bluster around certain dates, and Liberation Day (August 15th) is one of them.
So Kim Jung Un's political and military threats can be seen to be very cyclic in nature.
