China’s Long Arm Reaches Into American Campuses
I once had an Intel Analyst check in to my unit and while he was standing in front of my desk reporting in, the first words out of his mouth was "I'm smart." I just looked at him and told him, "Others will be the judge of that." Turns out he was one of my worst ever analysts. The ONLY troop I ever had that the SNCO's came to me complaining about because he had terrible hygiene. Couldn't show up to work on time. Was late getting things done. And my hands were tied. I wanted to send him to CCU and instead they sent him to the Marina -- a job you would normally reserve as a reward to your good performers as a "Thank you for a job well done." LOL, he kept showing up late and the Marina sent him to CCU... Poetic justice.
