Also it seems that stolen technology from the United States also made that development possible. One major source is Edward Snowden who has leaked much of the information for huge cash payouts by the Chinese. We don't seem to hear much about this even though He has been charged and even prosecuted. Russia has welcomed Him when He fled from the United States and President Putin made Him a Russian citizen. It seems also Russia has received some of that stolen technology as well as China.

I would be surprised if Snowden had info on our tech like aircraft development. Unless we are very complacent, usually this stuff is under very compartmentalized special access programs. The NSA would not have a need for that info. My understanding is that this tech was divulged by a nationalized Chinese engineer who was working for Lockheed Martin and divulged program info on the F-35 which is why the chinese have low observable tech. It also didn't help that we crashed a low observable drone over Iran.
