Not sure why the Agent put her thumb drive in his computer. To be fair, the article does not say if it is a stand alone lab computer that is isolated to check threat programs.

I'll also add, the Secret Service Agent who inserted the drive on his computer was a complete moron. Stand Alone or not, you wait for the pros to analyze it in a sandbox environment. Not only has he ruined his PC's current image, but he might have screwed an important piece of evidence by not following standard chain of evidence procedures.

Doesn't sound like they did in this case. The agent who inserted the stick on the box obviously did not know what he was doing. Especially when they SS claimed he turned off the box to prevent it from doing more harm.
