To be technical, they aren't wrong. The Jewish people did betray Christ to the cross. And it also appears that there is some contention over some recent remarks made in the Jewish community accusing the Polish people of "Polish complicity in the Holocaust" and that they accused "all Poles of anti-Semitism." Which to be blunt, is absurd. And while it may be easier to hop on the band wagon of "ThAt CoMmEnTs BaD," I think it would be best to step back and get a better observation of this situation.
Last, the title is somewhat misleading, the US Ambassador has little to nothing to do with any of this, she just wished them a happy Easter and people are doing what they do best, being idiots.

SPC (Join to see) - It was the Jewish leaders who were upset about His teachings that incited the riots and crowds and forced Pilate to release the criminal Barabbas and crucify Jesus when He did nothing wrong. the Romans just carries out the deed.
Matthew 27:17 So when the crowd had gathered, Pilate asked them, “Which one do you want me to release to you: Jesus Barabbas, or Jesus who is called the Messiah?”
Matthew 27:22 “What shall I do, then, with Jesus who is called the Messiah?” Pilate asked. They all answered, “Crucify him!”
Matthew 27:24 When Pilate saw that he was getting nowhere, but that instead an uproar was starting, he took water and washed his hands in front of the crowd. “I am innocent of this man’s blood,” he said. “It is your responsibility!”

So...the Romans executed him is what you are saying? And after that the new Christian minority explicitly blamed the Jews instead of the powerful government that had a habit of crucifying people.
Because really that is what I’m seeing. Let’s try this:
Person A tells the American a Government that Scott is pushing for unions and Person A doesn’t like that.
The government then says “Ok, I’m going to either kill Scott or Paul. Who do you want to live?”
Did Person A kill Scott? I say no. The government did. It was 100% in their power to kill Scott or not. It was 100% in their power to let both Paul and Scott go.
——
Or let’s try this. A crowd forms outside your home. A rumor has been spreading that you like Pineapple on Pizza. The cops show up and ask the crowd what to do. The crowd says to kill you. The cop shrugs and kills you.
Guess what? The cop could have defused the situation. The cop, for killing you, is the murderer. He in no way had to listen to a crowd. And the cop listening to a crowd does not mean he is free from liability. Nor does it mean that everyone who is against Pineapple on Pizza caused Scott’s death.
——
That’s where I’m coming from with this. Who was in charge? Who had the authority? Who had the power? Who actually did it? If the answer to all of those questions is “The Roman Government” then that is the answer.

SPC (Join to see) - you seriously need to calm down over something that happened over 2000 years ago. I said, "The Jewish people did betray Christ to the cross." and you've been making this weird argument that it's the Romans, I think you need to read that line again and think about the implied task.
also, your legal analogy is really bad and incorrect.

SPC (Join to see) SSG (Join to see) - The Romans crucified him physically on the cross but Pilate gave Him over to quell the crowds to not have a riot with the Jewish people...The Jewish leaders at the time conspired with the Romans to make this happen. Had the Jewish leaders not flung false allegations of Blasphemy he would have never been arrested. It was the Jewish leaders who had him arrested in the Garden and it was the Jewish leaders that incited the crowds so that Pilate would not release Him. It was custom for them to release one prisoner prior to execution upon the crowds request but the Jewish leaders got their way by using the Roman machine to do it. Pilate found no fault in Him but did not release Him because of the Leadership of the Jews. As long as the Jewish priests kept the peace the Romans left them alone...by inciting riots they did not keep the peace. That is the way it was back then. The Jewish people did not crucify Him...the Romans did the physical deed but it was the Jewish leaders that betrayed Him to get Him there because they wanted Him gone.

Interesting and things like this happening all over. If you look at the teachings of the founders of religions, they teach predominantly love and patience and kindness without regard to who someone is.
If you think maybe Islam is not like this, it is not true- Muhammad tried to be tolerant, and did not retaliate generally when forced to flee from where he and his followers were persecuted. The middle east has until oil always been poor, and education usually slow to develop, so radicals can raise radicals. At the era of Jesus there were other prophetic teachers, and Jesus seemed like one of many reformist rabbis. Buddha tried the ascetic practices of the time and did not get far enough, so he tried innovating on what would bring peace of mind, loving and wisdom. Things go wrong with all religions in some places. We should never act superior, but just be the best we can be. I've had some good chances to meet with others of other religions, in their places of worship and doing things together in the US, and various places in Asia. Try it!
