Problem with this whole trade war thing is that there was nothing wrong with the existing treaty in the first place. Most economic experts in Canada and the US agree, but Trump has it in his head that it's a disaster for the US.

Yes, it's a disaster especially if it goes to this Christmas season which I think is 40% of all the business income is from the Christmas season.

LTC (Join to see) Don't see anything to indicate trade war stopping by Christmas. Good news is most of the products we'll be buying are already produced and enroute to Canada and US, but what tariffs will do to their cost remains to be seen.

Thing about this is how can he compare the two. Their tax structure is totaly different than ours.
Also if their country is willing go Trillions of dollars more in debt let them have at it that is what it is doing for us.

And they're officially supposed to start a carbon tax on the 1st of January. I'm already paying $0.25 a gallon in carbon tax so that's going to make Canada even more competitive. But have no fear, the provinces are revolting and are not going to comply with the carbon tax mandate. It's a rip-off anyway. It may not save the Earth because the Earth is in between ice ages but the Kyoto Accords won't address that.
