CPT Jack Durish Always the little skinny guys at the buffet you have to watch out for. My brother used to hit the buffet like the beaches of Normandy, leaving a scene of carnage in his wake. It is too bad he died at a young age. He was hilarious.

My brother ate as many calories at a meal as I ate in any two day period, yet he never saw the high side of 130. He and my father shared a freaky metabolism that allowed them to seemingly get away with this. However, both suffered unseen health issues. My father suffered strokes beginning in his 40s. Although he lived to his mid 80s, he was disabled by them. My brother has 100% blockage of both carotid arteries. The only blood reaching his brain arrives via the smaller arteries in the back of the neck and he will pass out if he bends his head back to look up. He's also suffered minor heart attacks. I've also known other skinny people who ate huge amounts. A skinny LT approached the Sunday evening buffet at the Fr Derussy Officer's Club like a prize fighter entering the ring, and he left the tables sighing from relief as he transferred much of their load to his plate. It was aggravating, to say the least, to someone who has been forced to diet every day of his life...
