The article is good because it is mostly about Florence and the dangers posed by slow-moving Hurricanes that drop more rainfall in a given area than fast-moving hurricanes of the same intensity. However, the title says "bigger" and in the body, Kevin Trenberth also claims "more intense" storms are due to burning fossil fuels...which requires several leaps of faith. First graphic shows number of US hurricane landfalls has been steady or slightly declining since 1900. 2nd shows Hurricane Power Dissipation Index since 1900. Also steady. There appears to be no increase in frequency or intensity in Hurricanes hitting the US in the last 115 years.
