They are only concerned about fake news when they are the ones who are butt hurt. Point one, and this is the infuriating one to me, it implies that those who voted for Trump, or who are against the progressive ideas are too stupid to think for themselves, therefore fake news is as dangerous as the loaded weapon we all have to kill everyone with. Funny how they were forgiving of Brian Wilson, he was one of them, but yet they can't handle the "fake news." Some of what they consider fake news is actually not. Much of it is commentary, which the liberal left has plenty of that, and some of it is news the mainstream media and politicians want to keep buried.
Point number two, most stories people take as news are actually commentary, which is mostly opinion. Commentary, not news, sells newspapers, and advertising in the news industry, because it is more colorful, more exciting, and more controversial. Simple news simply does not sell.

Fake news? LOL that term never applies to things like the Bush National Guard story, the CNN Tail Wind story, Brain Williams helicopter story, the exploding truck story, New York Times stories by Jason Blair, the Rolling Stone rape story, to name a few non fake news but inaccurate news reports. Oh Dan Blathers non fake but false Bush National Guard story was right before the election. Don't forget the grand daddy of all fake news sources, the National Inquirer broke the John Edwards story and several others. http://politicschatter.com/politics-talk/slideshow/stories-national-enquirer-actually-got-right/
10 stories the National Enquirer actually got right
The National Enquirer has gotten a lot wrong. Maybe that’s what makes these scoops from the gossip rag stand out so much.
