The Indonesian Government is not the epitome of human rights. It is killing, jailing, and evicting West Papua New Guineans for the mineral, wood, and oil. Trump has a real estate development in Indonesia. I don't think he wants to rock the boat.

Sir,
The only terrorism I read in the article, was Sunni Islamic warfare on Infidels. I suppose, it could be argued the Islamic acts are terror. But, I think a deeper understanding of the enemy, so called Islamic terrorists, are at war with anyone not them. Therefore, it is OK to unleash the military to wage war on them.
The enemy only understand power. Let us also give them total war. IMO Sir.

The TNI was sidelined in the Counter Terror fight early on due to the restrictions working with them carried. It was 2006 before we had their Special Ops folks over to re-open relations in Hawaii.... 5 years after 9-11. The National CT force had got the bulk of training and funding from the US and regional allies. The resentment has been building in Indonesia every since then.. And now that IS is growing there... all comes to a head.
