Thank you Chip, this news report helps highlight our involvement in Afghanistan during the late 70's which touched some of us that served during those years, as well as why some of us Old School soldiers returned to serve in 03. Although some of us were called back out of the Retired Reserves. I will point out that Afghanistan has the natural resources to produce plenty nukes; you can easily research this. Now reference Al Qaeda we (US, Iran, Israel, Pakistan) created it to help us fight the Soviets.

Historically that place has been a real Hell Hole. I'm not surprised to hear of plenty of Natural Resources besides Heroin. If they could just Learn to Play Nice with each other and Milk those resources and Make us Pay for them, that would be a Win/Win.

PO1 William "Chip" Nagel - The truth of the matter to your suggestion is that they can Play Nice with each other, the problem is that majority of the international companies that go there purposely pit rivals against each other so that they get a cheap contract, but in he end it cost them more.. Stupid, ignorant, greedy, idiots create these mess. I went native while there and learned a lot about how international companies make contracts.
