approximately 3 million men on a heavily fortified front. The Chinese Volunteers used massed numbers of over a million. We slowed them up with firepower. Both sides have had 60 years to build up. It will be a bloodbath.
As for cold, your new best frieds are your mickey mouse boots and your sleeping bag. I recall an alert at 3am. I put everything the Army had issued me only to find out my long johns were on backwards when I needed to pee. My memories of freezing on the DMZ made me feel good about being in Vietnam

I have lived in Montana, in areas that had coldest in nation several times, The Pacific North West and Buffalo New York. I was stationed in Korea and the only place as cold was Buffalo.

CW5 Jack Cardwell yep the weather in S. Korea was no joke when I was there and I was 35KM south of Seoul. A documentary stated the temps were as cold as -50 below around the Chosun reservoir
