He should have been tried and put to death. I hope he gets what he deserves in the hereafter

This is close to home, as the church he attended is a mile from my unit.
We will never know what this man really did during the war.
What we do know is that there was a lot of dirty business behind the frontlines, by collaborators, partisans, occupying forces... pretty much everyone. Ukraine suffered terribly before, during, and after the war, and it is small wonder some Ukrainians turned to the Germans as saviors from Stalin.
As the story says, this man will be judged in the hereafter.

Maybe not, 1SG (Join to see), but based on the documentation that was available and the eyewitness accounts, I'm fairly certain that Karkoc would have been convicted had he gone to trial.
