Most disturbing...
No Soldier should have to go thru this... Black, white or what ever the color of Skin or Ethnic heritage...
If she was Raped could They not get DNA and run it thru the data base...
Everyone in the Military since 1992 has been Tested and their DNA Profile is on File in a DOD Data base... Her Rapist should Have been exposed and Brought to Justice ...
RIP Little Sister

This is a very sad story indeed SSG Trust Palmer. Its sad on several fronts in that the family had to use a FOIA to see what happened to their daughter, that it was perpetrated by another soldier or soldiers. I hope whoever this sick bastard is, that they are caught and punished as soon as possible. I also hope that they are rotting in their own hell. As SSG James J. Palmer IV aka "JP4" said, it was hard to read.

SSG Trust Palmer & SSG James J. Palmer IV aka "JP4" Wiki had an article on her that indicated that some University Cold Case Squad did not disagree with the Army's findings. Link: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Death_of_LaVena_Johnson just as an aside FYI.
Death of LaVena Johnson - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
LaVena Lynn Johnson (July 27, 1985 – July 19, 2005) was a Private First Class in the United States Army whose death, officially ruled a suicide, has attracted international attention amid allegations that her death was the result of rape and murder.

SSG Trust Palmer - I know it doesn't make it any easier Trust. I found it as I wanted to know more about the LaVena. She was a beautiful young lady and did not deserve to die the way she did.

I am absolutely appalled that this can happen in our military and the potential cover up. This should not ever happen to have to worry about threats in and outside of the rank. How could one live with themselves. Not to throw in a political statement but their is so much backlash from Colin Kaepernick sitting down while the national athem is playing.....really?
