Thanks for the Civil War history share, love reading them. Had a grand uncle at The Battle of Wilson's Creek in MO and then at The Battle of Stones River where he was killed.

Most of my relative though Southern born, fought for the Northern States.

SGT (Join to see) - I had relative living in Gettysburg and they watched the battles. My ancestry is Prussian and Quaker, Grand uncle fought with 1st IA Infantry and then he and buddies joined the 25 Illinois and dies at Stones River

Great detail to the end of the War Between the States. Needs to be in the history books as most people think the war ended when Lee surrendered.
