One account of MacArthur's 'escape' via PT boat had him violently sea sick during most of the voyage. If so I have to sympathize with him on that score. If you have ever been seasick and unable to get to solid ground you can too. They had to run through some very choppy seas according to the story. His wife was with him and evidently didn't fare too badly.
