Hell I wish that the VA would cannabis instead of the pain killers, also due to the TBI the doctors have told me that dementia and Alzheimer is in my future, so yeah pass the joint.

CPL Patrick Brewbaker - I would prefer cannabis to the opioid, my back has been hurting like hell for three days, so I just finished drinking strawberries juice with tequila, rum and whiskey, cause I take a pain pill for sleep.

Won't matter Captain, once Alzheimer's catches you, you won't know to catch a 'joint'. The late wife would tell me, 'I didn't know, you would realize you are losing your mind as it happens'. CPT Pedro Meza

I'm thinking Weed is probably the least addictive of the Pain Management Tools available. Opioids and Synthetic Opioids are very problematic and very prone to OD.

CPL Patrick Brewbaker - The only problem with THC that I know of and a possible overdosing problem. It was one of the first drugs found to relax the Gag Reflex for Chemo Therapy Patients, they could keep more food down and thus stay healthier. That is all well and good until a teenager like I once was realized the same thing and that I could drink more Booze thus increasing my chance of Alcohol Poisoning. Now that is the Only danger from weed that I can think of.

I sure hope they find something soon or I'm screwed. Lot of research that should have been conducted a lot time ago is underway and they are finding lots of Unique Medically Beneficial Molecules in that there weed.

As much as I would love to believe this would be a miracle drug, it seems that after all the research that has been done, nothing conclusive has come out of it. If there is a placebo effect or something more real, it seems it would have been known after all these years. Regardless, MJ or its derivatives should be made available, particularly for medicinal use. It's far less dangerous than many legal mind altering substances. And that's from one that's never used an illegal substance.
