War refugees are traumatized. Therefore, they follow Muhammad's orders on rape, murder, child brides... No?
I read the PHD author has extensive experience on the ground in several countries. But, I did not see anywhere in the essay about Sunni vs Shia religious civil war and war on Apostates.
Did the author read Islam's history and Islamic countries overwhelming support of Sharia Law? I'm confident that statement is in there somewhere.
Why bring a 7th century culture into a 21st century culture? What could go wrong? People are basically good inside and only need a job. Right Professor?

I figured that you knew you were reading a chapter.. and the book itself is posted up in the link. yeah - how many times was that people are good inside used to direct to resolve.... when it was never the area we needed to go towards because it and jobs were never the reason in the first place.
