I have this impression of Texas as patriotic and a bit conservative (granted I live in a very liberal state) NFL teams are such a huge national presence for a team. This action seems very in line with the impression I have of Texas. I have carefully chosen the word impression because I am fully aware that I could be wrong and have no wish to cause offense. But I have known a number of folk from Texas and they have all fallen into a "good ole boys" class in my mind.

MSgt Danny Hope Nice sentiment, but there is no way he would follow through on this. Say his team takes it as an ultimatum, and the whole team takes a knee. He is not going to cut the whole team. Additionally, if one kneels and is cut the NFLPA would file a grievance. So while I think it is great that he is taking a stand for the playing of the National Anthem, I also think it is mostly hollow words.

I guess we'll have to see if someone wants to push their luck.

MSgt Danny Hope - As much money as they are making for playing a kid's game, I don't think it will be too many.

PO3 Steven Sherrill - True, however we've seen some really questionable judgement in the past
