I like Craftsman hand tools.

Good news that they are now available at Lowes. Convenient.

They've been in KMart and Ace for years. Now that they are no longer "made in America" they might as well sell them in the dollar store.

Remember that Sears merged with Kmart years ago. They were trying to save money I don't think it worked out very well for them.

Hand tools are still good, but I haven't bought a satisfactory Craftsmen power tool in 15+ years.

The name has been just a matter of marketing since Sears sold them

1stSgt Nelson Kerr - I pretty much stick to Bosch for power hand tools and look for old industrial York for power floor tools. But favorite wood lathe is a treadle powered spring pole lathe I made myself with a 300 lb flywheel.

I buy whatever looks like it will worl on the cheap, themn throw away what does not work well enough, on the net it saves money. My Drill Press does not even have a label and looks to be homemade,
