GySgt Gary Cordeiro - Why in the old testament was it alright for the Jews to fight for their rights and freedoms. And a lot of Christians think it is ok to just wait for the end of the world? Yes, it's coming but we can forestall it can't we. By standing up for basic rights and freedoms instead of allowing evil to prevail.

SPC Les Darbison - Simply put, because of crappy teaching from the pulpit ... we have had decades of pastors straining at gnats while ignoring the weightier issues. Preaching powder puff and plain vanilla sermons so as not to offend anyone and potentially interferon with membership drives and giving. Decades of teaching that politics is a dirty business that true believers stayed away from, and besides, the Lord was going to rapture us all out of here any day now. Mix that in with self satisfied, lukewarm, half hearted believers more interested in their own comfort. (mostly because of the above teaching), and you have a recipe for the western Church today. Thankfully so are beginning to wake up and pay attention. Unfortunately, much of the establishment church is angrily telling them to sit down, shut up, and stop rocking the boat.
